Charles Banks Wilson:
Charles Banks Wilson is a favored artist with collectors and investors. Wilson, who perhaps is best known for his murals in the Oklahoma State Capitol and his portraits of Will Rogers, is recognized as a painter, printmaker, magazine and book illustrator. Few other artists have become as identified with their own state as Oklahoman Wilson.
Oklahomans of whom Wilson has done portraits include Will Rogers, Thomas Gilcrease, Carl Albert, Robert S. Kerr, Sequoyah and Jim Thorp. Wilson is a Fellow of International Institute of Arts & Letters, Geneva, Switzerland, a member of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame and a recipient of the Western Heritage Award from the Cowboy Hall of Fame.
